Classic Spaghetti & Meatballs

Who doesn’t love the childhood memories that this brings? Old fashioned spaghetti and meatballs equals love in our house. It’s comfort food that somehow remains unchanged from generation to generation.

INGREDIENTS

ground beef 1 pound

Bread Crumbs 1/4 cup

large egg, beaten 1

onion, finely chopped 2 tablespoons

fresh parsley, chopped 1 tablespoon

garlic, minced 1 clove

Olive oil 2 tablespoons

Pasta 3 cups

spaghetti sauce 1 jar

Add Salt & Pepper to sate

Salted water for pasta

Optional grated cheese

In a large pot, boil salted water and add pasta. Cook to al dente. Set aside.

In a mixing bowl, combine beef, egg, bread crumbs, garlic, onion, parsley, seasonings.

Shape mixture into 1 1/2 inch medium-sized meatballs and place on greased baking sheet with olive oil. Bake balls in a Preheated 400 degrees oven for 15 minutes, until its brown.

In a pot, Bring spaghetti sauce to a boil; reduce heat to low. Stir occasionally. (add meat balls if you like your meatballs well done)

To Serve, place hot, drained pasta on plates, add sauce and top with 3-5 meatballs. Garnish with grated cheese.
